Docker Bench for Security
Docker Bench for Security is a script that checks a Docker host and containers against the CIS Docker Benchmark.
Legal & ethical use. Use this tool only on systems, networks and data that you own or have explicit written permission to test. Unauthorised access or scanning can break computer-misuse laws (for example Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and equivalents elsewhere). Practise in your own lab or in authorised environments such as CTFs.
What it is used for
- Audit the Docker daemon configuration of a lab host
- Find insecure container settings
Key features
- CIS Docker Benchmark checks
- Simple shell script
- PASS/WARN/INFO output
Installation
Clone the repository and run the script as described in the README.
Beginner usage guide
Run it on a test Docker host and address WARN items in the host and daemon sections first.
