Prowler
Prowler is an open-source cloud security tool that runs checks for AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes against best practices and benchmarks such as CIS.
Legal & ethical use. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to assess; run with least-privilege read-only credentials. Use this tool only on systems, networks and data that you own or have explicit written permission to test. Unauthorised access or scanning can break computer-misuse laws (for example Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and equivalents elsewhere). Practise in your own lab or in authorised environments such as CTFs.
What it is used for
- Audit your own AWS account for misconfigurations
- Produce compliance-oriented reports
Key features
- Hundreds of checks
- CIS and other framework mappings
