Elastic Security
Elastic Security is the SIEM and endpoint security solution built on the Elastic Stack, with detection rules, timelines and case management.
Legal & ethical use. Use this tool only on systems, networks and data that you own or have explicit written permission to test. Unauthorised access or scanning can break computer-misuse laws (for example Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and equivalents elsewhere). Practise in your own lab or in authorised environments such as CTFs.
What it is used for
- Run detection rules over collected logs
- Investigate alerts in a lab SOC
Key features
- Detection engine
- Prebuilt rules
- Timelines and cases
Installation
Follow the Elastic documentation; some features require a paid licence, others are free.
Beginner usage guide
