Naabu

Naabu is a port scanner from ProjectDiscovery that is designed to be piped together with other recon tools.

Legal & ethical use. Use this tool only on systems, networks and data that you own or have explicit written permission to test. Unauthorised access or scanning can break computer-misuse laws (for example Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and equivalents elsewhere). Practise in your own lab or in authorised environments such as CTFs.

What it is used for

  • Quickly list open ports for hosts produced by subdomain tools
  • Chain results into HTTP probing or Nmap

Key features

  • Fast SYN/CONNECT scanning
  • Reads targets from stdin or files
  • Nmap integration for service detection

Installation

Install with Go (`go install` of the naabu package, see the docs for the exact path) or download a release binary from the repository.

Beginner usage guide

Give it a host list from your own recon, scan the top ports, and pass the output to httpx or Nmap to see which services are web servers.

Example commands

Run these only against your own lab or authorised targets. Placeholder addresses such as 192.0.2.x are documentation ranges.

Scan top ports of a lab host
naabu -host 192.0.2.10 -top-ports 100

Lists open ports among the top 100 for the target.
